That sure seems like a bit much for such a small square area at the tip of the county. The communications tower located between Ellison Bay and Sister Bay has good coverage. Adding one tower near Bailys Harbor would help, but the others seem to be overkill. Monitoring the Door for over thirty years.

After reading the county BOC minutes, they are going 800mhz P-25 so yeah they need a lot more towers to get portable coverage and building penetration. Hopefully, they build more than not enough or it will be a complete mess.

I didn't realize that they were going 800 mhz? Would this be a trunking system? If that is the case, the county should do a comparison study for costs to join WISCOM like their neighboring County of Kewaunee.

Based on everything I read it appears to be 800 phase 2, It didn't get into the details of whether it was stand-alone or they were piggybacking on another system. It's a 3 phase build-out going online in 2028.
They are updating some current towers and moving another to get them through until the system comes online.
