I'm having trouble monitoring Dorchester County fire and EMS dispatch. I can hear them operating on the incident channels, but I never hear any dispatched calls. According to the database, these agencies aren't encrypted. Any ideas what I could be missing here?

So back to our discussion in the other thread, which site (or sites) are you monitoring? Is it possible that the DC Dispatch talkgroups aren't being carried on the site you're monitoring? Try programming your scanner to force it to monitor only site 1-18 Dorchester Simulcast, assuming you're within receiving range of that site. See if you hear those talkgroups active on that site.

I'm monitoring basically every site in the Charleston/Dorchester area and I think that's the problem based on your other post. I'm going to clean up these sites in Sentinel and give it a go again. Thanks again.

Let us know how your "cleaning up" goes and if it resolves your issue.

It sure did, thanks again for the help. If I do hold on a Dorchester channel and want to be sure I don't miss anything, I'll also do a site hold on the 1-018 site and that works great. There may be a better way to do it, but with what I want to monitor, it works for me.
