LAKE COUNTY – The Colorado State Patrol says a young man and a young woman were killed when their vehicle rolled.
It happened about 5:20 a.m. on Lake County Rd. 2A, about 2.3 miles south of Leadville.
Troopers say the car came to a hairpin turn, went off the right side of the road, rolled and landed on its wheels. The male driver and a female passenger were both killed. A male passenger survived the crash.
Troopers suspect a combination of alcohol and excessive speed contributed to this accident.
