From KUSA:
THORNTON – A man and woman are dead, after a shooting inside a condominium.
It happened Saturday night at the "Autumn Creek" condos on Gale Boulevard near W. Thornton Parkway and Pecos Street.
Heavily-armed officers were standing guard around the neighborhood Saturday night, as they searched for the suspect.
Just before 7 p.m. police found a 41-year-old woman and her husband shot dead inside a condo.
There were witnesses to this crime. A second man and two small children also inside the house have told investigators what happened.
"My understanding is the doorbell rang, the victim answered the door, when the door opened he was immediately shot and the second victim was shot and then the suspect fled," said Thornton Police spokesperson Matt Barnes.
The search is on for a white man in his 30s, described as 5'10" tall and about 230 lbs. He's balding, possibly wearing a track suit.
Police think he left in an early 80s model maroon Chevy Cavalier.
Investigators say the shooter knew the people inside the home, but they're not saying how.
Police say the other man in the condo was the couple's brother-in-law and the children were his.
