Since the other thread got closed while I was typing this.

The reason why the Douglas county and Washing county public safety feed is gone because I don't think it is fair for the ownership of this website not to give the feed providers what they want in return for providing them their feed.

I would be nice to be able to choose if we would want a premium subscription to either RR's database or their new live audio site. It seems that the ownership does not want to hear our opinion on this matter. They keep saying they will be entirely separate. It should not be that hard to link the two accounts together for the ones who would rather have a premium subscription to the database versus the live audio.

For the people thinking that I only put my feed up for the subscription are wrong. I have a premium subscription since the owner change from donations to subscription format, about 2006. I have provide info to the database since it was trunkradio.net.

I don't understand the locking of threads around here-this is obviously a very hot topic right now. As for why you put your feed up, who cares? You're paying for the electricity, you're maintaining the hardware and you're supplying and paying for the bandwidth. You obviously deserve something of value in return beyond a "good boy", and a pat on the back".

Since RR is apparently getting out of the live feed business, I guess they don't care what live feeds remain and what ones go away-only the owners of the new site are concerned with that. If they migrate all the existing archives over to the new site, I guess my question still remains that what is it that is on RR that won't be on the new site(that providers will have free access to)?

From my perspective, it seems that RR has pretty much sold it's content & is essentially folding, but maybe there's more to RR than I'm aware of.
