I often see 'Douglas County Community Safety Patrol' vehicles either out with stalled vehicles or helping out deputies at traffic stops or accidents. It seems like a neat program for volunteering with the SO. Does anybody know if they carry radios, and if so what their callsigns are?

They do carry radios and are dispatched on TG 1033. Their unit designators are 5##A, 5##B and 5##C.

Not specifically related to Douglas County Sheriff, but I believe Castle Rock Police and maybe Lone Tree Police also have patrol volunteers. I don't know any details for Lone Tree, but I think you might be able to catch some of Castle Rock's volunteers on the air using a V## callsign. Parker has some volunteer programs as well, but I don't think have positions patrol wise that you see DCSO doing.

Links to all the official websites detailing the CSV/VIPS and other programs are below.
