At 2:35 PM on 05/13/09 Colorado State Troopers responded to a two-vehicle accident on Colorado 86 near Enderud Blvd. in Douglas County.
A silver 2001 Nissan Frontier was stopped at a stop sign in a private drive off Colorado 86 approximately .2 miles east of Enderud Blvd. (3 miles east of Castle Rock). A black 2007 Harley Davidson FXD was traveling east on Colorado 86. The Nissan attempted to turn left onto Colorado 86 into the path of the Harley Davidson. The front of the Harley Davidson impacted the front drivers side of the Nissan. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.
The male operator of the Harley Davidson has been identified as Lonard "Mike" Milner, 75 of Colorado Springs. Milner sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Milner was not wearing a helmet.
The restrained male driver of the Nissan has been identified as Otto R. Miller, 46 of Castle Rock. Miller sustained minor injuries but was not transported to a hospital.
The accident is under investigation and charges are pending.
Alcohol/drugs are not suspected as contributing factors.
