DOUGLAS COUNTY – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday morning after being involved in a crash.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the crash occurred at Lincoln Avenue and 1st Street in unincorporated Douglas County just before 9 a.m.
Witnesses say the motorcyclist was heading west in the left lane of Lincoln Avenue when he attempted to change lanes into the right lanes. The motorcyclist instead went off the side of the road and crashed.
When authorities arrived on scene, witnesses were performing CPR on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say the victim, a white male, was wearing his helmet at the time. His name was not released.
Deputies continue to investigate the crash.
