I know Dover pd if encrypted but was there ever a reason why they did.

After Dover PD went to 100% Encryption, I wrote the Dover PD Comm Director an email asking why. She replied: "To Protect our Officers".

I know it's like beating a dead horse I can see tac and narc channels encrypted but leave dispatch in the clear,Rehoboth went mostly encrypted but left the dispatch in the clear,If only more pd's would understand that 99% of scanner Listeners are willing to help.
