Rgr Dave my favorite freq is NASCAR #4 451.2250 Nascar ops which Dover
uses as their crash dispatch freq during race.
Director controls towtrucks,fire,ambulance in groups on all 4 turns.
Director runs those guys like drill sargent,especially during wrecks.
He must be located up high somewhere to see and control all the action...

btw checking Flightaware scheduled inbound aircraft to Dover here is largest Nascar Team jet I have seen listed.

I heard a few crashed and you are correct about how he runs the show. Nice work I must say.

I'm not much of a race fan but the comms were fun to listen to.

Weather radar showing rain off Outerbanks and creeping North faster than I thought.
We may end up with a Dover Monday Nascar race if this keeps up!

1314 Sounds like TEXAS 91 F-16's up on Dover appch 282.325 holding at TIDY also A/A 140.150
1324 one of the TEXANS switching to airboss 342.000 which is Dover's metro.
1325 342.000 clear to Northwest and over the track.
1326 We will clear off North and hit burner
1331 "We want to come screaming by with burners" 140.150
1335 clearing off track with appch and rtb Dover,"Bet we looked good!" 140.150
sounded like was only flight of 2.

1430 Race postponed till Monday at noon.
At least they got a flyby in..

On Sunday I went to Dover hoping to see a race. As we all know now it got cancelled. Since I got there at 10:00 am and the race was not cancelled until after 2:00 pm, I was able to do some monitoring of some of the channels and get the PL tones for them. I also listened to some of the other frequenices that are licensed to Dover Downs and got some PL's for them also. Here is what I came up with.

While I wish I could of came back for the Monday race, that was just not possible!
Speaking of traffic, I was in a bus that left the track at around 3 and did not get back to Connecticut until close to 10 at night. So I can confirm that the traffic was a real mess.

I just got back from race myself Dave and was a decent Monday race.
Few cautions so crash crew freqs were slow.
Though the crowd was obviously smaller the food lines were long and slow as weekend work crews were in short supply come Monday.

Kurt Busch ran afoul of Nascar with his bad car behavior towards Tony Stewart so
heard Nascar official on 464.600 say "I want Kurt Busch and his crew chief at the trailer after race...
Lets see what pans out from that..
