New to the forum.
I've paid for a permanent update DSD+ Fast Lane subscription, but heard nothing since December last year (v2.228) and I see that v2.256 is out. How can I obtain that version, please, and ensure that I get notification of future releases? I do check for any spam and I don't think messages have gone there.
Thanks, David GM8ARV

Hi & welcome to the forums:
Launch DSD+ Click the Event Log window. Navigate to MISC > CHECK FOR UPDATES NOW (note, you'll need an active internet connection to do this). If an update is available it will download a zip file to the same directory where DSD+ resides. As mentioned above, use the password from the December update to unlock the zip file. Transfer all files contained within the zip file to your DSD+ directory. Close & relaunch DSD+ and you should be good to go. Lastly if you go back to the Event log window and place a check on MISC > AUTOMATICALLY CHECK FOR UPDATES, the app will notify you upon launch if a new update is available.

Thanks, Gary. Downloaded and copied over the original. The port number seems to have changed from 20002 to 20001 (or is that me) and after editing that in my .BAT script I'm getting connection, and my Airspy mini seems to be working in SDR#, but no signal detected in DSD+. No signs of a signal in the Source Audio window. Obviously something I've missed from not using the software for six months!

Use the menu system in DSDPlus. Input --> Use TCP Linking. Control --> Combined CC/VC Monitor. Input --> FMPA/FMPP/FMP24 TCP Address and TCP Port -- set the address and port. If your FMP* is running on 20001, then set the Port in DSDPlus to 20001 . If FMP* and DSDPlus are running on the same machine, set the TCP Address to 127.0.01.

Hmm, so you aren't using FMP* but are using SDR# instead? If that's the case:

Control --> Passive Digital Monitor
Input --> select the proper virtual cable

Same thing happened to me. May be he does not like people named "David" :)

No, SDR# was just a test to check that the Airspy Mini was working as expected, and seeing data. I'll check the other settings [thanks] tomorrow. It worked in December, though.

I wondered why I had not seen any updates since December! This information is helpful; I have the file now but I did not retain the email once installed. Who do I contact to be authenticated and receive the password? Thank you.

Thanks, Mike. I now seem to have a version issue. I created (in the past) a couple of command scripts, one to run the FMP24 and one for DSD+. The FMP24 seems to work correctly, as I can see RF on the spectrum. Its [edited] log is:

FMP24 -i1 -o20001 -P0.0 -g0 -f438.8125
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FMP24 2.60
Current working directory is "C:\Tools\DSD+"
SDR sampling rate = 2.400 MHz
Spectrum window width: 1024
FFT size: 32,768
[]
Sampling rate set to 2.400000 MHz
Frequency correction factor = 0.0 PPM
Loading frequency data...
Listening on TCP port 20001
(Later I want to use an Airspy with FMPA, but that doesn't appear to see RF at the moment).
I then start DSD+ with a script, and although it starts and does the TCP connection, it lists an incompatibility.
DSDPlus -rv -Pwav -fd -i20001 -v3 -g0 -wsl400.210 -wss100.200 -wel172.522 -wcl528.0 >>VC.log
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DSD+ 2.256
Program role is voice channel decoder; audio modes set to mono
Writing synthesized audio to per-call wav files
[]
Initiating TCP connection to 127.0.0.1:20001...
Connected to 127.0.0.1:20001
TCP link established
TCP protocol error / incompatible DSD+/FMPx versions

FMP24.exe is dated 06-Dec-2019, and is 185,884 bytes. What am I missing here, and where can I get any updates?

Thanks,
David GM8ARV

Thanks for the help so far.

I've now received the update and the RTL/D-Star combination is working. However, I am unable to get the Airspy to work. Although the FMPA loads (from a batch file), and appears to give sensible console output, there is just a grey screen for the spectrum display. There is no frequency displayed in the title of the spectrum display window.

Thanks, it's been like that for some time, so I don't know where that came from! Fixed, working.

Thanks, done.
