downloaded trunkstar xlt. was testing it out. now i have no sound coming from pc speakers or scanner speaker. any ideas
using the uniden bct8

In windows go into control panel and check your sound settings. I would check for Line in and mic in with some type of muting. You can often access sound settings if the speaker is in the task tray by right clicking the icon and selecting properties.

i completely unplugged scanner from pc. the serial, the sound. the power. then i just plugged power in. even then there was no sound. i opened back up the software. plugged serial cable in. and I have no idea why this worked but I just clicked on the option to copy from radio to pc. its not called that. something similar. anyway. when it was done. audio worked again. very odd....

this is what i did to F it up and then fix it. it makes no sense to me. because first off. nothing even got deleted the first time around. and 2, why would it take the audio away. you think im nuts. but believe me. there was no sound. LINE IN SPEAKER CABLE WAS unplugged and everything. anyway, glad sound is back.
