OK! I believe that I have successfully installed Parallels on my Mac, and also have installed Windows 11. My next step is to install Sentinel, but I understand that I also need something ending DOT NET. Where can I find the Sentinel and DOT NET software and what is the sequence and procedure for installing it? Once I get Sentinel fully installed I should...hope... that I can get rid of the CLEAR USER DATA message.

.NET 3.5 (includes 2.0) is added via Windows Features. By default it's not selected.

In Windows go to…..

Control Panel --> Programs and features --> click on "Turn Windows features on or off" (in the upper left corner)

Once that window populates, click in the box that says ".NET Framework 3.5 (Includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)”,

Click OK, and they will be installed. Then Sentinel will install on that computer.

Thank you!

I have successfully loaded Windows, and the DOT.NET.2.0 and 3.0 and have also loaded Sentinel.

In Sentinel when I click on CLEAR USER DATA the dialog box opens but is unpopulated and does not do anything as best I can tell.

Does anyone have suggestions of what to do next?

Be sure your scanner is in the "Mass Storage" mode.
When you start the clear user data function, check the box that says "display all drives".

I was able to go step further, the scanner showed Mass Storage, or words to effect, and after selecting ALL DRIVES, I was able to get a response in the window. Then it asked if I wanted to erase the drive I clicked “no.” The scanner came from the dealer with many local services and is not backed up anywhere except on the scanner itself.
If there is no simple answer to my muddled efforts I will give a call to the the vendor and see if they can help.

Back in your post #13, you said that you were getting the SD card error. That indicates that the SD card is probably corrupt and may likely have already lost it's programming data.

You can try to read from the scanner to your computer to see if any data can be saved. With the scanner in mass storage mode, from the top tool bar in Sentinel choose scanner ---> read from scanner. If the data on the SD card is still readable, it will be saved to Sentinel.

Updated my SDS 100 with no problems. Attempted to do the same on my 200. Received SD Card File Error messge. Was instructed to use Sentinels "Clear User Data" operation to initialize the SD Card. Sentinel won't let me perform this function. I changed the target scanner before my first attempt. I even put in a new microS D card to no avail. When I plug my cable in, it already displays USB Mass Storage. I have closed and reopened Sentinel. The scanner worked fine prior to my upgrade attempt. Appreciate any suggestions.

Did you check the box to Display all Drives?
