As a premium subscriber, I would like to know how I go about downloading Frequencies from the RR Database to the PRO 106 radio?

Do Have to go to another area of RR first?

When I'm signed on to RR I do not see any differences on the screen than from not signing in. I believe I'm not doing something correctly.

Thanks,
John

I have Scancat Lite

One word...yeechh!

Scancat doesn't have the ability to connect to the database, and is by all accounts far from the best choice. ARC500, Win500 and PSRedit500 all do have this ability, and they are linked here (anything in blue or underlined...)

The RR import is usually set up to work from a pull down in the program somewhere. I'm sure the folks that have these packages can advise you further.

However if you have Excel or similar, there is a procedure you can use to copy/paste data from the databases. It's kludgy but does work...

I closed the poll attached to this thread.
The poll had nothing to do with the OP. Please don't start polls in this forum unless it deals with site administration, thanks.

As you may have found out by now, it is the software that you use that allows you to import frequencies and/or talk groups. Your Premium Subscription is the key that unlocks the Database for your software program. You could have the software and attempt to import from the Database, but you would be denied without the Premium Subscription.

I use WIN500 for my PSR-600 and that same software can be used to program the Pro-106. Below are graphics showing the steps.

1. Open the software and click on File then point to Web Import > RR.com > then select Trunked Systems or Conventional frequencies.

2. Fill in your credentials as if you were logging into RR.

3. Click Start
4. Select the Country > State/Province > County from the drop down menus.
5. Select the System from the drop down menu and enter System ID and any other information needed for the system you are after.
6. Click Import This System.

There will be other selections and other pages with selections for you to make before it actually imports the system(s), but once you have the program populated all you need to do is upload it to the scanner. Very fast, very simple, very easy. The other programs work in this same fashion.

Oh, and welcome to RR.com.
