I listen to it all night. I should have setup a live feed but not sure if anyone would have listened. There were 15 departments involved, 75 fire fighters, and I believe 5 buildings destroyed. I had to have all my radios going to keep up with the action.

I continued to monitor until the fire was contained. i could hear the exhaustion in the firefighter's voices as the notified Central fire that they were back at their respective stations... I have to say they did an outstanding job containing, controlling and finally extinguishing what was a particularly bad fire under horrific condtions. I don't mind the recent increase in my taxes to keep quality first responders like these readily available to help the public as the do on a daily basis... WELL DONE !!!

Ray, Thanks for posting the overhead view of the area. The firefighters had a tough time of fighting the fire in the storm last night. They also did a good job of getting fire departments from all over Santa Rosa County and Pensacola to help, as well as Whitting Field. 154.160 was busy last night. At one time last night local citizens help with the cars from driving over the water hose.

I couldn't have done the aerial pic without Dan's guidance... It's always cool when the scanners are hopping, too bad it seems as though something bad is always happening .
