Downtown WVU Campus Lockdown- Gunmen

Message via Clery Act...Gunman spotted downtown. Mountainlair locked down along with all University buildings downtown.


Does anyone have the capability to host for Mon. County? If I had the setup I would but don't have the equipment or knowledge. Unfortunately...I miss being able to listen to Morgantown scanners.

Threat ended 1:18am Gunman arrested

MPD/WVU officers surrounded the gunman on the 700 Block of N. High Street and he was captured w/o incident. Gun was then discovered to be a B.B. gun upon further investigation. Followed this on Twitter...not as exciting w/o audio.

Unfortunately, it was not communicated that the gunman was surrounded in the frat house at 700 N High Street and some people were saying "gunman on the loose." Nevertheless, it was a very fast response by WVU to lockdown, and then release an "all-clear" to the campus.
