DPD District 1 Crane hijack???

(ABC 7News)DENVER -- A man was arrested Tuesday night after police said he climbed into a seven-story construction crane and refused police orders to come down.

Police said the man climbed up into the crane's cab located at 29th Avenue and and Vallejo Street at about 8:30 p.m. to watch fireworks shows.


More than a dozen officers and some negotiators were called to try and talk the man down.


The man crawled down from the crane a few hours later and surrendered to police.

The man was not immediately identified.

I have to admit, it's a good idea, up untill he decided to ignore the police. Well that and park his truck at the base.

(CBS4) DENVER A man was taken in to police custody late Tuesday night after officers said he tried to get a better view of the fireworks in downtown Denver by climbing a construction crane.

I was tossing that possibility around - was a good idea until he was spotted !
