DPL and uniden scanners

hey so question i have a uniden scanner (bcd996p2) and used it to decode a DPL code from my jobs radios the screen shows 331 for the dpl however when testing that on a motorola radio with the same frequency and dpl programed it does not open the squelch on the work radio if i put the inverse dpl (465) in to the test radio the scanner again shows 331 am i to assume that the uniden can not tell the difference between normal and inverted dpl?

I was looking at another thread: INVERTED CDCSS (DPL) CONVERSION CHART.

From the looks of it, scanners always display the non-inverted code.
