From what I read here in the Wiki and from links posted within the Wiki, DCS is a digital tone. Am I correct?
My other question is when I am in FreeScan and I need to make a selection from the "Audio Type" column, and a tone on RR is listed as DPL, can I just select "Digital Only"?

Thanks....

DCS = Digital Coded Squelch. It's like CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch). Both are used on analog channels to control the squelch of a receiver.

DCS tones are used on Analog FM channels.

For your first question, DCS is the same as CTCSS. It's for use on analog frequencies.

For your second question, no. Digital only means P25 only.
