I wish they'd bring back the old GIS map that was on the DPS website. I spoke with their PIO and apparently they're working on it, but that was several months ago and I haven't heard anything. I'll have to check in with them again.

Here's the GIS map, although not on the DPS website. (The map linked above is outdated.)

I've seen that one, but I don't think it's accurate as it shows D12 coming down to the L-101 North Stack, instead of stopping at SR-74. Metro West currently handles I-17 north to SR-74/Carefree Hwy and D12 picks it up north of there.

Zoom in. You'll see that Metro West has I-17 from the 101 north to Carefree Highway. The border between Metro West and D12 more or less follows the 23rd Ave alignment between Carefree Highway and approximately 1/2 mile north of the 101 freeway. (Tonopah Ave, I believe.)

I still don’t think the D12/D13 boundaries are accurate. I used to live in New River and I believe all of that was, and still is, handled my Metro East.

There are other (not GIS) maps that show a more accurate boundary. The most recent GIS map that had been on the DPS site seemed pretty accurate, but they took it down for some reason. I need to follow up with the PIO and see where they are with that.

If you actually listen to D12, you will hear them running traffic in the New River area and all the way down to SR-74/Carefree Hwy.. The entire new extra lane construction is in D12.

I know they have I-17 down to (north of) SR-74, but I haven't heard them working anything off of the freeway that far south. I'll have to get back in touch with the PIO over there and see where they are with getting their map updated. I was told they were working on that the last time I spoke with them.
