Anyone else having fun listening to DPS Houston (KKC588) on 155.4600. Both units and dispatch are coming in great on the same frequency. I was on 290 near Binford, and heard a Trooper at 59 north near Little York. Another Trooper on I-10 at Mason. Happy Scanning!

Didn't last, not repeated today. (Boy I wish I was in town yesterday.)

It lasted a good hour or two. Dispatch said they were working on the system. P25 is coming soon! They kept saying testing 1,2,3,etc...

I wish they would keep it repeated, I like being able to listen to the mobile units on my BC 246T with a RS 800MHz antenna. When they go digital, how are they going to do wrecker calls? I guess they will have to get on STAR-Net/HPD conventional and call on one of those channels.

Just like we do, wrecker will have to keep up with the ever changing radios around the county.

Still going today, although I have noticed that the dispatcher sometimes transmits on multiple channels at the same time leaving you with the impression that you can't hear the mobile (because it is on another whole pair).

Repeater is active tonight. Interresting traffic.
Must be why units are going 800 for chit-chat.
Bryan units are being repeated occasionally on 155.4600.
