I was asked to start this thread to document changes on the new 3 site simulcast DPS 800 system, especially Mt. Baker (Cooperton).

I'm hearing quite a bit of traffic today on Troop G's channel 1. Lots of unidentified talkgroups as well. I'll post them here as I collect them.

Here is a new ID I heard today, just keying up, no voice. It's not showing up on the database.

Update; the radio tech's have got Mt. Baker patched in with the rest of the DPS system as of yesterday. Not all of the talkgroups have been added yet it seems.

I heard loud and clear;
44176 Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop G Channel 1
44208 Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop G Channel 2
44848 H. E. Bailey Turnpike 1
44880 H. E. Bailey Turnpike 2
59056 Comanche County Sheriff -- Ch 1
61360 Lawton Fire Dispatch

No new TG'#s but the signal is coming in with 2 bars (good) from Elk, I'll keed monitoring

Sweet! I wonder how long it will be before the coverage moves into the Troop M an H areas.
I think Troop M is mostly rural area, so I can see a push for H coming online sooner than M.

It seems that 800 travels quite far out west in the flat lands. However, were out here only on the empty I-40 corridor, no one lives here -so we will be on the last of the list.

Just my humble before coffee opinion...lol

Well, that maks 2 of us, be sure to turn off the lights when you leave :lol:

Mt. Baker is very active with Comanche SO, Troop G side 1 & 2 - all the same as listed in the RR database. Also hearing an occational Lawton unit, and Comanche fire/Lawton fire are also busy. No new talk groups to list yet.

Reception here in Elk is outstanding.
