TG1936 is active with security support for the President's visit.
Does anyone have some good freqs for the Presidential detail that could be monitored?

All we'll hear of this will be those units out on the edge of security like the TG1936 that has been mentioned. AA Community College talkgroup is 2800. Anne Arundel also has Air One up. All the Secret Service freqs active for the President's visit are encrypted so there will be nothing there to hear. I suspect there will be an air cap flown during his travel time so you might watch for the DC Air National Guard F-16s to be active, maybe even the MD Guard A-10s from Martin State (I'm hearing them flying as I type). The helicopter fleet that travels with the President is also active right now but can't be copied due to encryption.

Both VHF and UHF. Their ops control is on 347.2 and their operational freqs are 142.3 and 143.8. I've been hearing them within the past few minutes on both the control freq and the 142.3 freq. It appears they are coming in to land at Martin State Airport right now. This is a flight of two A-10s.

This is a chronic problem down here at AACC. Pretty much the entire college and surrounding areas is a deadspot for the TRS...

I would have posted a heads up on this but it was "suggested" that I not mention anything until the news covered the event (i.e. after the fact...).

I'm just glad I'm not going in until the party is mostly over... it's gotta be pretty hectic with the lots shut down but classes still in full session.

The local newspapers (Baltimore Sun & Washington Post) both had stories yesterday about this event.

The campus police were ticketing vehicles as fast as they could during the event. The overflow filled all the parking spaces and the rest parked where they could - which meant a ticket. They reported they were sparing the vehicles with government ID though. How nice of them.
