This morning a special drill for Emergency Management regarding an responce for an "accident" involving fire, explosion, and release of radioactive materials from the Grand Gulf NPP took place without a hitch. Agencies from multiple Counties in MS, and Parishes in LA partook in the drill. Heres to it all working out nicely, and to hoping it never really happens.

Franklin County EOC/VFD's and SO, Jefferson County EOC/VFD's and SO, Some Copiah EOC/VFD's and SO, Claiborne EOC/VFD's and SO, A few Adams VFD Units, Emergistat EMS, AMR EMS *Natchez Units*, A couple of Metro-Rural EMS units. MS Dep't. HomeSec, MEMA, Some units from MHP Troop C-District 1, And a few of the newer CERT Teams. From Louisianna- Some Concordia Parish FD/EOC folks, and Tensas Parish EOC/VFD's and SO. I don't know if any of the LSP Troopers were involved. Natchez Trace National Parkway Rangers did a lil roleplay assisting on the Trace-Highway 61 area with directing escape route traffic. It was a fun event, and surprisingly went well. Another good thing that came out of it was we got our old original almost antique pumper running since we had to "pretend" our new one was "K-Oed". So now we once again have two pumpers, and a tanker.

Oh forgot to mention Entergy MS, and Entergy LA, as GG is thier baby.
