• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Howdy, if you hear any of our radio traffic from out here in Elk City today, it's all a part of our EM Drill. We should start about 10:00 and go from there. We will be running on quite a few freq's, we will have a net up on 146.760/146.520 simplex, and our PD/Fire/EMS channels will be hopping i'm sure. I'll be working as IC today and I'll be running command on the freq of 154.515 pl 123.0. http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&ctid=2132

Somehow it's listed on the database as our Maintanence channel, but that is not quite correct...

Fun, fun!!!
