I lost everything on my laptop due to a bad BIOS install. In the past I had no issues with the TRX-2. Now I cannot get the laptop to recognize the device. No matter what USB port I use, nothing. I went through the steps to install the driver in the Win 10 thread and the device appears in the Device Manager, but with a Code 10 (This device cannot start.)

I am at the end of my rope, as this seems to be happening on my other Win 10 desktop as well. I am using the downloaded driver from the Whistler site, as I had to format the SD card several times along the way to update it (not going to get into that now).

When I plug in the scanner to the USB, the device shows USB Power - Charging Battery Backup.

Help?!?

I had to do a search on "how to install an unsigned driver in Windows 10" to get Whistler's driver to load and recognize my TRX-1.

Thanks, but I mentioned that I reviewed the Win 10 thread. The second post was an error, but thanks for responding to both.

I found the issue. Apparently my cable is bad. I had another old cable for a digital camera with the same USB mini-B and it worked. I was able to see the device, and update the CPU f/w.
