I'm actually still using an older version and I'm still in business. It works fine as long as I don't update it.

Agree with KK4ELO. When you do updates on your phone or other device, don't use the automatic update as it will delete the older version.version

That part. The "new" version requires a secret squirrel vocoder install. I'll say this to the developer, I would GLADLY PAY $25 (one time) for a version that:

1- Had software vocoder built in
2- Could run in the background
3- Could map a device PTT button like EchoLink, Zello, etc.

Add the code it yourself or find someone else to add that support (maybe post to freelancer)... The author of the program does not read this forum.

The original question was about Droid Star and whether or not anyone had used it. Complaining that linking radios by IP is not amateur radio is off topic for this thread.
