DNR North region talkgroup 14864 on safe-t is on the scene of a confirmed drowning at Washington Park beach in Michigan City. report was that two people were out of the water and*** cpr was in progress on both***. I person taken to hospital in Michigan City. 1 person is missing, not sure if they have 4 or 5 others that also might be missing. x1 calling for two divers a chaplain and sonar equipment to the scene. Posted Sat 8/6/16 6:25PM Update at 7:38PM DNR Dist 10 has a unit headed to the hospital in Michigan City for a follow up. Still doing a search with divers and sonar at the scene. Medical helicopter taking off from hospital headed to South Bend Memorial hospital with one. INDR Dist 10 via twiter is reporting that this is a near drowning.
