Modes DSC Decoding ??

When trying to decode DSC 84145 khz do I set the mode to CW or USB ?? Using YADD Decoder

I would think you would set up on USB, and use a wide bandwidth, not narrow. USB is, in general, used on many non-ham digital modes.

Are you seeing a signal on a display that isn't decoding? Depending on what radio you are using, you might have to offset your tuning by 1.5 khz (or so) to present the correct tones to the decoder. This is a common issue.

There are a couple of reflectors that dive into this; The UDXF, of course and this one, which is focused on DSC decoding. Seems a very active group, too

I am using a SDRplay RSPdx With SDRuno software, I thought it was USB Mode, I don't think I am getting a strong enough signal for a decode with the speaker wire antenna I have. I think I will waite untill I get my MFJ Loop antenna and give it a try. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, if there's any slop on the signal, if it isn't pretty strong, it might interfere with the decoding. GL with the MFJ loop - hope it works out well

I have only just seen your contribution. I also do a lot with DSC reception and YaDD.
For a clean reception, please set your receiver to CW and use a narrow (approx. 500 Hz) filter.
For YaDD, try setting the SIGNAL POLARITY to USB or LSB. For me it is USB, but for a friend it
must be LSB, so just try it. If you have any further questions, please get in touch

Thanks for the information I just need a good signal now conditions down in this neck of the woods have been terible for the last several weeks.

Is your QTH near the sea? If so, try 2187.5 kHz. It currently works very well (at least here in Germany).
On 8414.5 kHz, there is very little going at the moment.

Hello Steve,
because it just occurred to me. Try 2187.5 kHz, which works very well (at least here in Germany) in the evening and at night.
If it is possible let your PC and the receiver run overnight and look at the logs the next day. I have already found some amazing logs.
