Not bad! Might be worth mentioning that when watching videos like this, use full screen mode and click on the gear icon to select 720p or 1080p quality. Youtube expected me to watch that in 360p...

Concepts can be hard to explain with just words, so I made you this fancy diagram. PM me for licensing fees if you use it in your upcoming "how to set up DSD+" video. :)

Code:
                           DSDPlus.groups (group naming and prioritizing)

Yes, big thanks to ak4fn. He helped me with a laptop issue.

I'm still using 1.074. I subscribed to DSD Fast Lane, but I haven't installed 1.08 yet. I'll probably wait for the next Fast Lane update.

I'll be sure to watch his video on setting up trunking because I've never used FMP in DSD+.

Also noticed 1.074 seems to decode DMR the best. P25 decoding does not sound good. NXDN does not decode well unless the signal is very strong.

I'm listening to adjacent county P25 so it might be a signal issue too. Scanner indicates S1-S3 on signal strength.

I might try locking the protocol on NXDN next time I listen to it. I'm running traffic analysis now on a nexedge channel trying to ID the user and a lot of decodes are barely intelligible. It is not scrambled either.

I like how DSD+ reads NXDN radio's "alias". I haven't seen that on any DMR systems yet.

Lock the protocol and use the tuning program. You must fine tune the advanced decoding options on weak signals.

DMR doesn't transmit radio aliases over the air. They must be programmed into each subscriber unit manually.
