DSD and DSD+ are two different programs (which provide similar function). One is open source, the other is not. One only runs on Windows, the other is multi-platform.

Thanks. I did get 1.095 and it works great.

What a lot of people are doing is setting up a 2 dongle system with one on the control channel and one following whatever voice channel pops up first. But with this, it is just like a scanner and you miss other talkgroups talking at the same time.

What I did was I hooked 5 RTL-SDR dongles and listen to all the frequencies from a P25 DTRS site here in Colorado. I don't even need to decode the control channel because I receive all the voice transmissions on all the voice freqs and the talk group ID and radio ID is in the voice packet so each transmission is saved with a time stamp, TGID, and radio ID.

For some of the larger sites that have more voice frequencies then you would either need more dongles or you would need to prioritize and decide which freqs to receive according to how many dongles you have. For example, on some 7 freq sites, decoding 5 specific voice channels will get you 97 percent of all transmissions. At least on Colorado DTRS trunked system sites, transmissions are on specific freqs first then if those are busy then they go to others in a predictable order.

Here is a screen shot of one of my screens that has three of the 5 SDR dongle receivers. The other two I have on the other display.
