Greetings

For the longest time I have been using DSD+ V101 the public release. I simply ran VB cables over to it from SDRuno and it has worked well.

However I decided to support the development team and upgrade. I now have the most current version of DSD, but I cant get it to run at all. At first it wanted lame to be in the same dir which i did, and now I get the error shown in the photo.

All I wish is to run the upgraded version of DSD in the way I was running the old version.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Cheers!

So

I kinda got it running, but cant seem to get audio to it. Seems its expecting some other program to be running "Assuming FMPA/FMPP/FMP24 is signal source; auto polarity detect is disabled" is shown in the terminal screen.I dont know what these are.

I wish to just point VB cables to it like the old 101 version did.

Ive tried a small batch file with a -i1 then a -i2 to no avail.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks!

So it seem if it boils down to this. Please see the attached photos A and B. I am trying to get this to switch from A to switch inputs like B.

A seems to be expecting some other software while B just accepts VB cables input.

So I have tried the batch file with the -i1 or -i2 with no luck.

Does anyone know how to switch DSD Fast Lane to accept VB cables??

Thanks!!

In the DSD+ Event Log window, and under the Control tab, check Passive Digital Monitor is selected?

I thank you kindly for your assistance! Yes passive monitoring is now on and it allowed me to make the switch.

Wow, I just wasnt expecting it to be a GUI switch! I was expecting a command line struggle.

Cant thank you enough. Just Great.

Cheers!!

No worries. Just check it saves the settings ok on closing down DSD+ (it should do). Then you should be all good to go.

Ok will do. Even if it doesnt, its like two clicks to make it fly.

Say I see some other options that are interesting. I monitor the OPP on Fleetnet. Yet on the same system a few other services are broadcast in the clear that get lost or muted out. Can we monitor those as well as those encoded with P25?

Cheers

Not sure I 100% follow the question, but it'll decode any or all of the protocols you enable, and for any transmissions that are encrypted, it'll auto mute.

They're not broadcast in "the clear", they're broadcast in analog. Enable Monitor Source Audio if No Sync and Signal Present in the DSD+ Input menu to hear them.

MOH, MTO is not subject to P25 processing or encryption and is trunked and broadcasted fully in the clear with a standard FM mode of emission. This is exactly how it is in my section of the province.

No, I said they're not broadcast in "the clear" (the term you used). They're simply plain old analog audio.

You wrote "I monitor the OPP on Fleetnet. Yet on the same system a few other services are broadcast in the clear that get lost or muted out."; I would imagine that anyone who wasn't familiar with FleetNet would have no clue that you were referencing P25 and analog comms respectively. Because I am familiar, I was able to give you the answer to your query.
