From p. 5-6:

The .exe file that is used to tune the dongle to a desired frequency is one of the following (collectively referred to as "FMPx"):

FMP.EXE This is the free version that works with RTL2832U-based DVBT dongles like an RTL-SDR.
FMP24.EXE This is the paid Fast Lane version that works with RTL2832Ubased DVB-T dongles.
FMPA.exe This is the version that works with Airspy dongles.
FMPP.exe This is the version that works with SDRPlay RSP2 receivers.
Oh ok now that makes sense.thanks by the way is this LNA "low noise amplifier" This meaning could i power this by bias tee? i'm told it is not a lna but it says it is in the description. Thanks

That is what he is likely suggesting. After all, an LNA really has nothing directly to do with any decoding software, which is the forum that this thread is in.

I'm doing some experimenting on the Amateur Radio thing and am still unclear how the DSDPlus.radios works. If 2 lines in DSDPlus.radios have the same radio ID, what happens when that radio ID is keyed up?

For example, I have a county jail DMR conventional frequency on 460.1250 and have built up a list of their radio IDs. For those radio IDs, I've added an alias of "Dettntion Deputty". Then I've gone into DSDPlus.radios and manually changed some of the DMR ham IDs to match the jail radio IDs. This is to duplicate them on purpose to see what alias will show when someone at the jail keys up.

But when I run DSD+, as soon as someone keys up on 460.1250, all my edit in DSDPlus.radios are gone. So I'm confused as to what/how DSD+ changes stuff in DSDPlus.radios.

Asking the same question or similar in different threads, and or in different areas of the site is considered cross posting and is frowned upon.

Your second post about LNA and bias t really belongs in the appropriate forum and not in general scanning where it is now.
