You should set squelch only when scanning.
Or sitting on an analog channel.

Or sitting on a channel and recording the raw audio. No need to record static.


When DSD+ is directing the tuner to a specific frequency, you want it to listen come hell or high water. You wouldn't want a squelch threshold to prevent DSD+ from getting data to decode.
