I am using DSD+ Fast Lane version 1100 to monitor a NXDN trunked system. It was working very well, but lately the audio quality has gone down. The best I can describe the audio is that parts of conversations sound like they have been "Auto-Tuned", i.e. a gargling type sound, making many conversations unintelligible. Is this correctable? I do have a good strong signal, so I don't think that's an issue. I tried adjusting the gain, which made no difference.

My first thought was to ask if you're hitting some encrypted traffic, but I assume you would've already checked for that.

There is an option to adjust the unvoiced audio levels; for NXDN, it's the 'a' and 'A' keys:

A/a Adjust AMBE unvoiced audio level

That might help.

Can't suggest much else without a raw audio sample of the problematic voice traffic.

I have attached an audio sample.

I can't find any reference about the A and a keys; using them didn't seem to do anything.

I am noticing that my CC DSD+ and VC DSD+ windows are now showing a lot of errors (ERRxx and e:xxxx) for both the control and voice channels where I previously had almost no errors at all. I don't know what could have changed.

That's not the raw source audio; that's the synthesized output. You have to press R in DSD+ to start/stop raw audio recording.

Please disregard. I have since solved the issue. I was having a PC issue that was slowing everything down and causing other difficulties. Once I resolved that, the poor decode/audio issue cleared up.
