Hello. I need a little help to figure out how to get the freq's to show up in the Channel Activity window in the new versions after 2.212. In the new versions after this one, I now longer see the freq's showing up in that window.

So just seeing if anyone can help me and let me know what I need to do to get them to show up again and what the issue might be. Everything was working good until after the version 2.212.

Thanks

You are not at the latest release, click on Misc on the menu and choose "Check for Updates Now". You will use the last password emailed to you in December.
Have you populated the DSDPlus.FREQUENCIES file with the proper info in the proper format?

The new version will be downloaded into the DSD+ folder as a zip use 7zip to unzip it, copy the new files into the DSD+ directory.

In the next screen grab can you include FMPx spectrum as well as the DSD+ (all) windows you can size them to suite.

Hello,

Also make sure you get both the 2.235 and 2.242 update zip files. The updates are not cumulative and they have to be applied in sequence by version number (2.235 first, then 2.242).

Yes I do have the latest version and it still doesn’t show the freq’s. and as for the DSDPLUS.Frequencies Folder when I used it from my previous versions with all the freq info in it I was getting this: A65864F9-DEEC-43EC-8E92-C68684C7C3D2.jpeg

Then when I removed all of the other frequencies and just left the 2 repeater frequencies used here I got this. B8FE7D69-78AC-4AEC-AE9F-1757D6C1CE74.jpeg

C48F0AA3-3307-4BF9-9E06-C57EFE706185.jpeg

But when I have it like this, there is no errors: 73A0D5AE-8E53-46F0-8848-68881FA1875C.jpeg

So I don’t know why all of a sudden after that version: 2.212, when everything was the same I just copied and paste the new version over my older versions, the frequencies stopped showing up. And I have the new version: 2.242.

The error messages are telling that you have information in a format that DSDPlus doesn't like. Bad Network info, bad site info, bad frequency info.

your frequencies file is a text file so it doesn't need to line up under the format example.
Cap+, 000, 8, 1, 165.315, 0.0, 0

If you are doing more than this system, you will want to create Custom Network IDs as explained in the Notes document. If you do, you edit the Networks, Sites, and Frequencies files.

Please read the instructions in the file. Your formatting is incorrect.

Code:
; protocol, networkID, siteNumber, OTAchannelNumber, TXfrequency, RXfrequency, sortOrder

It very clearly tells you to put a comma and a single space between them. You put extra spaces to make it pretty, and presumably have blank lines under them.

Ok that looks like it did the trick, putting comas after each thing. Didn’t do that with all the other versions and it showed the frequencies just fine, so must of been something with these new versions it didn’t like.

and one other thing I am noticing and just curious what it means. F1558435-31C2-40D9-9C6D-EA20A718E3E0.jpegE9A46DB5-C3CF-4164-8237-2659F0CA933B.jpeg

In the Channel Activity window and in the Event Log window: “NoCCH NoVF

<sidebar>press [Print Screen], then [Windows Key], then the letters "P A I N T", then [Enter], then [Control + V] and you will have dumped a screen shot into windows paint, where you can then crop and trim it to see fit, as well as get it at 'better than phone pic of a computer screen' resolution. It'll make your life easier.
</sidebar>

No CCH = control channel hunting disabled
No VF = Voice/data call following disabled
...and you're still running .228, not .242

Ok didn’t know what that meant. Are those things important or need it for the CAP+ system I am monitoring or need to use those 2 things for anything.
I am now using the newest version: 2.242.

Ok. Do you need to use both or one or the other for CAP+ systems or that is not really important. Just seeing so I will know if I need to use it or not.

Sorry I meant the: Combined CC/VC Monitor. For the Trunk tracking mode. If I need to use this for the CAP+ systems or it’s not that important.

I wasn’t planning to Trunk Track, I just have it set at: Passive Digital Monitor. So would I leave it the way I have it or should I change it to: CC Monitor (1 of 2), VC Monitor (2 of 2) or Combined CC/VC Monitor. I am new to these settings in this new version compared to: 2.212.
So for CAP+ systems I should Trunk Track.
