I run DSD+ for long periods when I go out and leave the program to save audio files so I can listen to the audio when I get back and have time. I had DSD+ set up to save the audio on a (DMR system) and played it back and was wounding if there is a way that DSD+ could show the trunk group or Rid's in the audio file. if in the audio file when any one speaks if DSD+ Could show the talk group and or RIDS every time someone starts talking it wold be possible to know who is doing the talking when you leave the program unattended for long periods of time. Don't no if this is even possible but if you could check into it would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Steve

The separate wav file per-call recording option (-Pwav) does that. Each file name contains metadata that includes talkgroup and radio ID information. Multiple files can be selected and added to a media player's playlist when you want to listen to them.

Thank you for (-Pwav) It's exactly what I was looking for it works perfect.

Hi
i use dsd+ 1.074;

I'd like to use this very interesting feature "-Pwav" but for me it retruns an error message when i use it
What happens ?

-pwav works, but i guess this function only allows to append recording to wav files, instead of creating a new one ?

Thx

I don't know if this feature works in 1.074. I belong to Fastlane releases and have 1.090PT and it works. Every time a radio keys up it saves the TG and RID information in the description of the .wav file, it saves individual .wav files with the information in the name of the .wav file, maybe someone else can post and confirm for you if this feature will work in
1.074.

If your version of DSD+ supports this then all you would do is right click on the DSD+ icon and this is what you add.

I believe the -P<wav|mp3> per call wav function first appeared in version 1.090 (Fast Lane), which would explain why your 1.074 version doesn't work.

is that the encryption keys?

No, they are not Enc keys.

When he mentioned LDU1 and MI data, all those are, are parts of a P25 transmission. A P25 frame is composed of (start to finish): HDU, LDU1,LDU2,TDU

There is nothing secret about them. They're well documented.

LDU1 contains the source unit ID and the TGID (or destination ID)

LDU2 contains the MI, algorithm ID, and the key ID field.

MI (message indicator) is just a 72 bit initialization vector, of which 64 bits are significant, and is used to initialize encryption.

DSD already decodes this information, I just asked if it could display it.

What about the GPS data? I wish it decoded that like it does with DMR
and displayed it on the map. The conventional P25 repeaters are transmitting
data every so many seconds, what is that data?

I love DSD Plus!

Thanks
