DSD+ New Install Crashes

I have successfully install DSD+ many times on Windows PCs but an having a problem with a new install.
The Computer is a Getac with a Core i7 2ghz 4gb ram and windows 10.
The program starts and the last line on the screen says "audio input device open failed" then it shuts down.
I have VB Audible Cable installed and working and have even started the program with a batch file that specified that input at startup.
Anyone have an idea what is shutting down DSD+??

What happens if you start the app without using the batch file?

What Version? Fast Lane or the old free version?
If this is a new machine, did you run Zadig?
If Fast Lane, are you up to date with the exe files and the dlls as per the last update instructions?

Problem happens however I start the program - with or without the batch file.
I am a fastlane member but am just trying to get the original 1.01 program (with decompressed DLLs) to run before trying updates - will try applying updates and see what happens.

Can you run the same install correctly with FMPx?
