This seems like the ideal Mac/Linux solution (WINE is also available for Linux, in fact it started there and was ported to the Mac).
I will try and take this one step further, using a headless Linux machine running CLI only Linux, with DSD+ screens via X11 server. Can't see why this won't work...fingers crossed.
