Hi,

I have two sdrs working with Unitrunker listening to the local P25 system.

I am now looking to setup DSD+ to track Fleetnet Zone 1.

I would be using the site in Hamilton (Charlton).

I am struggling with all the command-line switches, etc and this new TCP audio decoding. I am just plain lost reading and watching youtube.

Could someone help point me in the direction to get started? (Aka: Please don't give me the fish but allow me to learn.)

I feel as if what I have read to this point is for older versions of the DSD.

Thank you for your help and assistance in finding this

If you are using the public V1 version of UT it is different than the latest V2 version which does not need DSD+ to decode P25

I am monitoring Charlton with both V1 and V2.

What is it you need help with exactly, they are both fairly simple to set up. V2 can be used right out of the box almost and just needs a control frequency. Anyway if I can help I will.

DSD+ doesn't decode Motorola 3600 bps control channels, so it can't track Fleetnet. Best you could do with DSD+ is to set up a scan list to scan the voice channels.

I'd recommend TRUNK88. Best software out there for following a 3600 baud system.

I have requested access to the Unitrunker Google group. Is there anywhere else I could download V2?

Thanks

Also, TRUNK88, I cannot seem to find a manual anywhere... just a zip file on someone's website.

If you have the official zip the help texts are within it

Hi all,

So I have been playing with V2 and this is as far as I can get...

As you can see it's a decent signal from Charlton but not much is loading... also downloading via my premium account is looking like this...

Any ideas what I may have screwed the pooch on?

You need to add your frequencies. Just to the right of LNC under the Frequency box is where you add the frequencies, you already have the control channel loaded now you just have to add the rest.

MB

Ok, I figured it out, When I upgraded Unitrunker, I should have uninstalled the last version and deleted the roaming profile directory for unitrunker.

I have since done this, and this is what I have now.

Problem is that I cnanot use the 2nd SDR stick that I have as the voice... it insists on 2vfo's per stick.

You can make the 2nd VFO as two voices or you can change 2 VFO to 1 (in info) if you only want 1 VFO (on any stick it recognizes) or you can have a bunch of VFO on the stick selected (1 to many).

Go through each VFO and make it what you want (signal, voice or unspecified). A new radio usually defaults to 1 signal VFO and 1 Voice but the number and type can be changed to suit purpose.

Your signal does not look that great 100% green bar is the goal. What are you using for an antenna system?

make sure the frequencies match to the right LCN, click on the LCN column title to order them correctly.

No report back which ver. you are using?
Hi, if you look further in the thread, I have been helped many times since the original post. It is now V2 and working 'OK', not awesome but it is ok and is servicing my needs well. Thank you for your time and help! :)
