The same issue no Alg/Kid displayed with the VC Group. I guess it's why I keep going back to 2.368.

IDK...

I could have sworn that originally, in the other thread, you had stated that you weren't seeing notations in the Event Log or the Groups Seen window. But now I come to understand that you haven't had a problem seeing the information in the Event Log - and that it's only missing from the Groups Seen window.

I really don't have anything further to add. I'm sure the author is aware of it. But I also know, according to the changelogs, that changes to gathering / displaying that information changed in multiple versions after 2.368. I guess you'll just have to wait to see if that information reappears in the Group Seen window in a future version or not.

Something was changed after 2.368 and each subsequent revision that borked the Alg/KID being displayed with the VC Groups window. Yes the Events window does show them. I'm glad we're on the same page now, I think..
2.368 just behaves the way I want, I hope a new rev will eventually get around to doing the same with all those added features incorporated.

When 2.444 went live I tested it on 1R and was working fine. Today I wanted to do some tests with two dongle trunk tracking and it seems that VC side does not respond when there is channel activity on the CC side. Probably is something on my side with the settings but didn't manage to find it, so it would be great if someone point me in the right direction. Here is my setup:
- two rtl-sdr devices - confirmed working and ppm set correctly
- here is my bat file:
start DSDPlus -rv -i20006 -O NUL -fn -E -v4 -_3
start FMP24 -i2 -rv -o20006 -a1 -e0 -b4 -g28 -z0 -P41.7 -_1
timeout /t 1
start FMP24 -i1 -o20005 -a1 -e0 -b4 -g19.7 -z0 -P45 -_1
start DSDPlus -rc -i20005 -O NUL -fn -E -v4 -_3

Some screenshots of what I am seeing:

View attachment 151844 View attachment 151845 View attachment 151846 View attachment 151847

What I have tried so far:
- reordering startup sequence
- deleting dsdplus.bin file
- setting receiver roles manually from the menu
- playing with antennas and gain
- trying different sites from the same network
- trying different networks

So far nothing helped. I got good clean signal on both CC and VC channels. Gain is set as lowest as possible where clean signal is at it's maximum (on VC side it could be even lower but for various reasons there is no need for that). So please if someone saw something simple (or not that simple) that I am missing, please, show it to me :)

Here is a short IQ and WAV recordings from CC during minor activity: Ufile.io - 1700830228

Digging through my memory now and I do remember I had this issue before. I then had to download the public version and update it to the latest fastlane version for it to start working. Still don't know what is causing the issues but I will try that approach one more time when I have some spare time.
Not sure if that is the right way to start over but it's the only one I can think of. If anyone can point me to a easier way I wouldn't mind to take some advice.

One other option you could try, Email the author, tell them you need a new download as if new because something went amiss. But you'd have to wait for the response.. It's a long holiday weekend in the US. So the wait may be longer. I hope you get it running..

That's a lot of pics just to point out that if you don't have limited enc following enabled, you don't get enc info displayed in the groups window.
Enc following is set to full in both copies, I'm not as dense as you think. Seriously, what a waste if your time to post that. It's following any and all traffic based on TGID priority that I set them at. Just trying to get 'ol gtr excited. What enlightenment. If what you say is correct, then no enc calls would even get to the VC copy, and if you'd looked, you'd see they are there.

Full enc following doesn't populate the groups window with enc info, at least not in current versions. There's really no need to write novellas on the subject.

And full enc following is a silly way to gather that data - you pointlessly retune to groups whose enc info has already been seen over and over again and stay on each call until it ends(!) and in the process you miss out on enc groups that haven't had their data gathered. It'd take forever to get data for lesser used groups. IIRC, this very fact was lamented in this forum.

So now, gathering enc info requires the use of 1R mode and selecting limited enc following - a mode where the copy of DSD+ that's in charge of voice call tuning knows which enc groups need to be tuned to and are only tuned to long enough to get that enc info and then are no longer tuned to, leaving DSD+ free to follow clear calls (for those of us who want that) - but you're still griping...

Selecting NORMAL FOLLOWING has always meant that if a higher priority group becomes active, it will go to that TG, all the TG's that are known to be in the clear have a higher priority in my group's file 50-1, known ENC TG's have very low 60 - 100, So your eminence, voice calls get priority regardless, that's how it's supposed to work, and there is no reason the VC Groups can't display alg/key info. I won't waste any more of yours nor my time on anything else here. So go ahead and make more disparaging posts. 🔥 away. Gtr's 🍿 is getting cold.

Group call; TG=13-1072 ch27
Group call; TG=1-1668 ch28
TXI Group call; TG=11 RID=8777 Slot=1
Is there a manual for DSD+ fastlane ?

Any suggestions editing DsdPlus.frequecies file that won't generate errors.
Commented lines need correcting.

; TIII,H1,14.7,0,454.23215, 454.23215, 0
; Cap+, 2 ,0, 464.35000, 464.35000, 0
; TIII, L2, 3.6, 0, 460.18750, 460.18750, 0
;TIII, 9, 5.4, 0, 217.04375, 217.04375, 0
;TIII, 9, 6.1, 0, 217.10625, 217.10625, 0
Note system number shown in 1R-event log panel is L9, L2, H1 respectively.
Errors I get are invalid network or no data for current site.

Maybe it doesn't like the fact that you list an LCN of 0 for every one of those frequencies.

But also, in the case of the H1 and L2 TIII sites, I don't think you are supposed to include the L or H.

Code:
[QUOTE]
TIII,1,14.7,0,454.23215,454.23215,0
[/QUOTE]
[QUOTE]
TIII,2,3.6,0,460.18750,460.18750,0
[/QUOTE]

Of course, for those two you would then also need to go back and edit your DSDPlus.Networks and DSDPlus.Sites files.

Sort of lost me with 'LCN'. Where can I get that?
I have truncated the L and H and the errors change.
