Greetings...

I have been playing around with updating my DSDplus with the latest FastLane. I have been having problems left and right but now I am up to this point and appear to be stumped. I keep getting the following error. I am using a RTL2832U SDR-Dongle.

Any help would be appreciated.

DSD+ is trying to establish communication with FMP. How are you launching FMP24?

If you have one dongle, you should be launching it by running 1R.bat and FMP24-CC.

Ok...so i launched it by by the FMP24-CC file and after a couple of tries it seems to be working now. The first few times I opened it i had gotten the lost connection with system (?) message.

Unless I am misunderstanding something, I thought that P25 Radio ID aliases would be displayed and not just the radio ID. Similar to how NXDN systems show Radio ID numbers and then Aliases.

There are only certain P25 systems that broadcast the Radio ID aliases. Unless you are positive that the system you monitor does, then it likely doesn't. We know about 240 documented, but there are way more P25 systems out there than 240. Some just haven't been verified as sending aliases, and some just aren't.

You do need to be in trunking mode (FMP24-CC.bat and 1R.bat) with Combined CC/VC Monitor set in the CTRL menu of DSDPlus. And under the MISC menu in DSDPlus, you need to select P25 Talker Aliases and make sure you have it set to display them if you want them displayed.

MISC --> P25 Talker Aliases --> options 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 down the list are what I have set

Keep in mind, in addition to what @mtindor said above, that even if the system does use OTA aliases (like NC Viper statewide system) that doesn't mean all units will have the OTA alias set. On Viper it is mostly the NC SHP with just a few exceptions, despite many others using the system.
