Monitoring DSP NCC via the web tonight and noted a reference to dispatching being done on the "NORTH COMMAND" TG. Is this just slang for RE-COMM's "CMD" TG....or has the DSP NCC CMD TG been split into both a North TG and a South TG?

It's dispatchers misinterpreting the display on the radio. Thinking the N in N CMD is for north instead of New Castle as it is. Same as K is Kent and S is Sussex.

DSP Recom went to a split channel dispatch last evening. Some cars/troops were dispatched on N-CMD, others were utilizing N- DATA. If you had caught the initial dispatch, you would have heard the female N-CMD dispatcher announcing the split as "HIGH BAND" and DATA. A throw back to the old days when the cars had both HI-band and LO-Band radios installed in the cars. The HI-Band were for normal traffic, the Lo-Band for Data inquiries.
