The PRO-94 is an analog scanner and will NOT work for DTRS. You would need a digital scanner such as the Uniden 396, 996 or Radioshack PRO-106, 197. These radios cost around $500.

The PRO-94 will work on the Aurora and Westminster EDACS systems.

The RS Pro 2096 and Pro 96 are also digital. If you can't afford a $500 scanner go to Ebay and do a search for a Pro 2096 or Pro 96. You can find one for around $300.

While I agree mrstellar some good deals are available on discontinued Pro-96/2096 series if our new member desires to monitor Denver, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge or West Metro he will not only need a digital scanner but also one that tracks ESK systems, which the 96/2096 do not.

Would also need a radio other than the 96/2096 for the sites with 700 chs such as Smoky Hill, DTB and possibly Chevron and for future growth like if Lookout was expanded to 20 chs.

can any one please tell me what scanners will track the ESK systems

Pro-106 or 197, BC-396 or 996, GRE-500 or 600 and there is more let me think a minute.

Might start a new thread also, this was a very old DTRS (different than ESK) thread which you found.
