After quite a bit of searching online I'm stumped and request some assistance from the forum. I'd like to set up a base station for lack of a better term at my home and listen to as many frequencies as possible with the most interesting ones for me being at approximately 155mhz, 455mhz and 800mhz.
I've come to the point where I have chosen a 800mhz specific YAGI antenna as the desired trunked system barely comes in at times and at others not at all, but come from one specific area about 35 miles away. With 155\455mhz I was wondering if a dual band ham antenna would work for this purpose or if I'm gonna need more exact antennas. I would speculate that the 148mhz would be close enough from me to get quite a bit of gain at 155-160 mhz but I wondered if a marine vhf antenna would do better.

The antennas I'm looking at are:

Marine antenna: https://www.amazon.com/Shakespeare-...TF8&qid=1482263315&sr=8-1&keywords=8ft+marine

Inputs are appreciated, thank you.
