Has anyone ever tried to run a single tap to
two separate PCs (two TRUNKERS) at the same time?

It's to do some development on TRUNKER...

Don't want to bother trying if anyone else has and
it won't work...

It works fine. I use an audio Y-adapter to connect to the 1/8" discriminator jack on the radio. Then two data slicers are plugged into the Y-adapter and fed to the serial ports on two PC's. The data slicers isolate the computers from each other and avoid interactions between them. You can get the Y-adapter at Radio Shack.

Some people do that but I don't like connecting two serial ports to each other. The slicer also may not be able to drive two serial ports, especially since it gets its power from a serial port. To minimize the chance of problems, connect only CTS and GROUND to both computers. The power for the slicer should come from only one computer (RTS and DTR connections). If it doesn't work, two slicers definitely will.
