Looking for help with the dubuque sara tower so I can stick it in my unication g5 for some reason I used the information provided a while back ago and it didn't seem to want to recieve the system even within the city.

Looks like a lot of police stuff up that way is encrypted, so that's out, fire appears to be open from what the RR database is showing here.

When I first got my G4 I made the mistake of putting in the system and site number as DEC instead of HEX.

You're a premium member, use the PPS (hopefully the newer one) to just download the stuff from RR to your PPS and then write to the pager. If you're having other problems, zip up the file and upload it here and I'm sure someone will take a look and let you know what's up. I'm not from that area but I'd be glad to look for obvious mistakes.

I tried doing the auto import but it must have not been put in the right way. If I get a chance to get on my pc tower tommrow I'd be happy to send you my code plug and see if you can figure it out. I'm hardly across the river when I am home but I can hear Sara from my parents house. I know I can here the state system with out a problem from Potosi.

You can also enter the WACN ID, System ID, RFSS ID, and SITE ID, to "FFFFF", "FFF", and "FF" respectively. The PPS will walk you through how to in the help menu on the right. I had to do that with Buchanan county since I was having simular issues. After you program the pager, you can even hit the down arrow and scroll past the talkgroups and (after the pager recives the site) you can veiw the tower's information so you can properly fill the info into PPS (if it makes that much of a difference, don't think that would really change anything) and update the RR database if you feel the need.
