Nice catch! It's not DU-COMM Fire North, it's the former DU-COMM Fire West frequency, which has been replaced by 154.145. Per the latest Radio Grant update, one of DU-COMM's 154.310 licenses was modified to add a P25 emission code.

I meant what I wrote - it's re-transmitting Fire North traffic. I didn't say it *was* Fire North. It was weird to see the old 154.310 frequency pop up, that's for sure.

It will be interesting to see what DuComm does here. Certainly with SC21 they already have a belt, VHF is suspenders and 220 is... another belt. Or more suspenders. I know for ISO ratings having backups for alerting is a thing, but it seems like overkill at this point.

I'll be putting in the other 470 band channels in as well.

Some very scratchy analog traffic from somewhere popping up infrequently.

Appears to be C4FM and not LSM but I'd need to verify that with a different app, but it sounds reasonably decent with my C4FM-only scanner. Interesting as the other DuComm fire VHF channels are simulcast in NBFM.

All traffic is TG 1.

Sorry, I meant that there was some weak analog traffic being repeated on P25. Only heard it briefly a few times.

RID being transmitted is "154175" - nice touch!

I was a Firemedic in Carol Stream their fire is on and using VHF on a Motorola vhf/700/800 mhz radios. The APX 7000 radios in use iI guess until the APX next comes out.I physically saw them with my last visit with them. Sounds great on my APX radios.

The 7/800 is the primary band in use on the radios, it is patched via a bridge to the old VHF channels. This is how it goes for the most part. The only department that is primarily VHF is OBT on their mobile radios because they did not get their order in in time when the initial roll out nearly 10 years ago,
