Just letting those interested know that the NYPD (Multiple Divisions and SOD) along with NYFD and other agencies in NYC have strong signals in Cape May this afternoon. My trigger to check for this is the MTA Bridge and Tunnel frequency of 453.55, which is used by the Cape May Beach Badge Checkers. I scan it with no PL even in the off season and during ducting I start hearing calls regarding Throgs Neck Bridge disabled vehicles, etc. Today the MTA 453.55 signal is loud and clear with all 4 bars on my Unication G3

Yup incredible conditions overnight and this morning. Hearing Ocean County fire paging solid here in Middlesex County when it's usually scratchy at best. Also hearing police stations coming through our NJ DEP VHF repeaters from New Hampshire.

Yes, the conditions are continuing this morning. The propagation map shared by rr60 is appreciated and is consistent with what I am receiving. During some band openings the Worcester Co/Ocean CIty MD system comes in full strength and clear here, but not at all at this time. Today the NYC area and Long Island signals continue to be strong. Also, the NOAA Weather Radio Station at Cornwall, Connecticut is loud and clear on 162.50. As indicated on the map propagation is best to our north rather than south along the coast.
