Read the thread I linked. You were given credit as credit was due. I knew you guys would act like this from your previous posts. Whaterever. I don't give a **** anymore. You take the credit alll you want, but I was the first one to get the decode started on this. The OP25 guy said it couldn't be done from those beautiful 4-FSK samples in the beginning. I decoded them and showed that they were in fact P2/TDMA control channel. The P25RX receivers where the first to decode voice from these new TDMA CC systems. I want credit for that.
I'm glad to give you credit for being the first. But, with that said, there were a bunch of users who submitted the necessary audio, and at least one (and probably two) coders who provided specific information in the public forum that helped the public (and you) to be able to do that. And, as far as DSDPlus goes, I'm sure that internal versions supported it very quickly even though a copy of Fast Lane that supported it wasn't made available for a week or so. I believe within 1-2 weeks all you (BTT / KA1RBI / DSDPLus) all had support for TDMA CCs available.
I can understand wanting the glory. When i'm first to accomplish something amongst a group of peers, I like to get the glory. But it was a colloborative effort. I mean, you posted progress in the forums but were having difficulties with certain things, and Slicerwizard posted some crucial information to help you along the way -- and maybe Max did too.
Authors, coders, and listeners who submitted audio came together to make it happen. BTT was the first publicly available, but it was absolutely a collaborative effort. I remember very distinctly how impressed I was that some egomaniac coders (aren't they all egomaniacs?) were actually sharing information. Personally, I apppreciate the efforts of everyone who was involved (and people can see who was involved by reading the thread you linked). And no, I'm not talkign about me. I was just the cheerleader. I can't code and had no audio samples. That was all done by everyone else.
